Founder Setup

Founder Setup is an independent, reader-supported review site that helps founders, startups, and freelancers build the right financial stack from day one. Instead of vague listicles, it publishes hands-on, head-to-head comparisons of the banking, payroll, accounting, corporate card, incorporation, and cross-border payment tools that early-stage companies actually use — including Gusto, Mercury, Ramp, Brex, Wise Business, Deel, Remote, QuickBooks, Xero, Stripe Atlas, Firstbase, Northwest Registered Agent, Justworks, Airwallex, Revolut Business, FreshBooks, and Wave. Website Positioning: an honest, editorial-first fintech comparison hub for pre-seed through Series A teams and solo operators, positioned between generic finance blogs and expensive advisory services. Target Audience: first-time founders, bootstrapped startups under 50 people, freelancers, contractors, remote teams, and non-US founders incorporating in the US who need to choose vendors quickly and confidently. Core Features: curated "Top picks" with star ratings (e.g., Gusto 4.8/5, Mercury 4.7/5, Ramp 4.6/5, Wise Business 4.7/5), in-depth 2026 comparison articles, roundups by category (payroll, business banking, corporate cards, invoicing, registered agents), step-by-step how-to guides, and a founder-focused newsletter. Content Features: decision-oriented framing ("which one fits your spend", "the catch in each free trial"), transparent affiliate disclosure, pricing and fine-print breakdowns, year-one cost comparisons, and explicit notes on who each product is NOT for. User Experience: a clean single-page hub with jump links (Reviews, Comparisons, About, Disclosure, Contact), short scannable summaries, clear CTAs to read a review or try a tool, and a lightweight email signup with no spam promise. Technical Features: fast static-style landing page, direct outbound affiliate links (Gusto, Wise), internal article architecture under /articles/, minimal tracking, and mobile-friendly layout. Monetization is fully transparent: affiliate commissions at no cost to the reader, with rankings explicitly unaffected by payouts.
