Compass is a voice-first notebook and AI journaling app positioned as a thinking companion for startup founders. It targets founders, indie hackers, solo operators, and early-stage teams who generate ideas, decisions, and reflections throughout the day but lack a lightweight system to capture and connect them. Core features include one-tap voice capture, automatic transcription, AI structuring into searchable notes, pattern detection across entries, relationship memory for people and conversations, and one-tap conversion of private reflections into build-in-public content for X and LinkedIn. Content features emphasize weekly reflections, insight cards, pattern alerts, and content drafts that feel authentic because they come from the founder's own words. The user experience is mobile-first and low-friction: open the app, speak, and let Compass organize the rest, with an interactive demo showing how thoughts compound. Technically, Compass uses AES-256-GCM encryption at rest, TLS in transit, HKDF-encrypted OAuth tokens, local SwiftData storage on iPhone, encrypted sync, and Markdown export. It integrates with AI providers such as Anthropic, Cloudflare, and AssemblyAI, while following a file-over-app philosophy.
