DeepSeek Harness

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is an open-source agent harness that provides the runtime layer around large language models: provider and model selection, session history, workspace access, tool execution, approval boundaries, and plugin-composed capabilities. This independent community guide, deepseekdsh.com, is not affiliated with DeepSeek and focuses on helping developers install, troubleshoot, and extend DSH across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Its target audience includes AI developers, engineers, technical operators, and advanced users who want to run a local Web UI, connect providers such as DeepSeek, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Moonshot, Z.AI, Qwen, MiniMax, OpenRouter, Groq, and Together AI, and automate coding or workspace tasks. Core features include OS-specific installation tutorials, an error center with fixes for MISSING_CREDENTIAL, UNKNOWN_MODEL, port 3080 conflicts, PowerShell npm.ps1 issues, workspace permission errors, and disabled composer problems; plugin and MCP integration directories; provider setup guides; extension-point documentation; agent comparisons; desktop app notes; and community IM guides for Telegram, Discord, WeChat, WhatsApp, and Feishu. Content is structured as source-backed, version-aware documentation with a published baseline, official source snapshots, verified dates, and clear warnings about third-party components. User experience emphasizes quick-start paths, task-oriented navigation, searchable error pages, and success-state explanations. Technically, the site covers local Web UI workflows, npx quick-start commands, Node.js requirements, API credential configuration, proxy and network setup, running from source, custom providers, and plugin development. It is a free community resource rather than a commercial SaaS product.
